Cambria’s Jude Johnstone makes a rare appearance on a local stage at Painted Sky Recording Studios in Harmony on Friday, June 13.

The noted songwriter, whose songs have been recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Bonnie Raitt and Trisha Yearwood, will perform with members of her band starting at 8 p.m. in the Old Creamery Building, 2177 Old Creamery Road.

Johnstone recently released a new LP, “Shatter,” on BoJak Records.

“The idea behind Shatter,” says Johnstone, “is that in order to find one’s better self, one needs to ‘shatter’ the old one and begin the process of re-invention. It’s about that moment of clarity in which change can take place.”

Tickets, $20, are available at The Music Box Shoppe, 778 Main St., or call 927-8330. If not sold out, tickets will be available at the door.
