Armed man robs Grover Beach bank

    Here's the approximate location of the Rabobank in Grover Beach that was robbed Tuesday.

UPDATE 1 p.m.: Police have released surveillance camera photos of the robber in Tuesday morning's bank heist in Grover Beach.

According to a Grover Beach Police Department news release, officers responded to a silent alarm at the Rabobank in the 800 block of West Grand Avenue. The robber displayed a semi-automatic pistol during the incident and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Grover Beach Police Department at 473-4511.

A report of a bank robbery came in at approximately 10:40 a.m. Officials are searching for a man, possibly Hispanic or Filipino, wearing a black leather jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath and blue jeans. He is reported to have a salt-and-pepper mustache or goatee.

As of 11 a.m., the Grover Beach Police Department had not released any details of the incident.
