Paso plan questioned

TempletonJune 6, 2014

Amid a historic drought and questionable “returns” to normal rainfall in the future, Paso Robles continues its 1990s plan of almost doubling its population, building lots more new hotels for more tourists and now Discovery Gardens. Potential treated water in the future is slated to subsidize new development instead of helping to offset the already critical water resources of the area.

When levels of the Paso Robles groundwater basin are beyond reach for many and when the rainbow colored amenities at the Discovery Gardens and elsewhere look a little less glitzy, what will our options be?
