Free summer concerts abound

Communities all over the county are hosting live shows

Zongo All-Stars will perform at free local concerts in Paso Robles and Templeton this summer.


How are you spending your summer? Lounging by the pool? Flinging Frisbees at the beach? Watching movies in an air-conditioned multiplex?

How about grooving to some of San Luis Obispo County’s hottest bands?

Starting this month, communities from Paso Robles to Nipomo will host free concert series showcasing everything the Central Coast music scene has to offer — from jazz and funk to rock, reggae and rhythm-and-blues. It’s your chance to boogie down as the mercury climbs. 

Here’s a list of cool concerts guaranteed to make your summer sizzle.

Barefoot Concerts on the Green
