San Luis Obispo Blues top Neptune Beach in another close game

Chris Davis was 3 for 4 with four RBI and hit a go-ahead two-run triple in the sixth inning as San Luis Obispo defeated Neptune Beach 10-8 at home Wednesday in a summer collegiate baseball game.

Jeff Moberg was 4 for 5 — all singles — and scored three times for the Blues (6-2). Austin O’Brien singled and tripled, driving in one run and scoring another.

Arroyo Grande grad Kyle Brown started the game on the mound, allowing six hits and four runs in 3 2⁄3 innings. Andrew Cheray and Zach Merciez both allowed a run in relief, and Blake Whitter earned the save.
