Dangerous crossing

TempletonJune 4, 2014

I work in downtown San Luis Obispo and at least six times a day I have to cross Santa Rosa Street at Monterey Street. And each time, I feel like I’m taking my life in my own hands.

What will it take to have the city of San Luis Obispo do something about the speeders, drivers who blow red lights or turn right on a red light? It gets old really fast when you have a green light to cross Santa Rosa and a speeding car blows a red light, or a driver not paying attention almost runs you over making a right turn on red as you step into the crosswalk. Does someone have to be seriously injured or killed before the city will do something about it? I guess time will tell!
