Another member of Atascadero’s PAC 7-champion boys basketball team will continue his playing career in college.

Jared Stuedemann, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, confirmed Tuesday he will play next year at Division III Occidental College in Los Angeles.

Stuedemann is a two-time All-County first team selection, averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and shooting 40 percent on 3-pointers as a senior. The Greyhounds went 12-0 in league and 24-3 overall.

He joins Robbie Berwick (Florida State), Connor Kim (Southwestern), Kevin Woodard (Fresno City College) and Cameren Fetzer (Fresno City College) as players from this year’s Atascadero squad who will play in college. Joe Johnson, another All-County first team honoree, is attending Brown and might try to walk on, according to former coach Matt Knudson.

Occidental was 11-14 overall and 6-10 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this past season.

More county players selected for football all-star game

Four football players from both Morro Bay High and Nipomo were named to the North team roster for Saturday’s FCA All-Star Game in Paso Robles.

Daniel Perlette, Tristan Collins, Zach Smith and Jack Judge will represent the Pirates.

John and Michael Renner, Jared Springer and Jason Alvarado from the Titans were chosen.
