Buddhist teacher to give presentation in SLO

Ole Nydahl, a Lama in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, will be in San Luis Obispo from Friday through Memorial Day to lead an introductory talk and meditation course.

Nydahl has traveled the world for more than 40 years teaching Buddhism. He has family in San Luis Obispo and gave lectures in the area frequently in the 1970s and ’80s.

The program starts at 8 p.m. Friday at Rancho El Chorro Outdoor School, at 2450 Pennington Creek Road in San Luis Obispo. It begins with an introductory talk on Buddhism. The meditation course follows Saturday through Memorial Day.
