The Atascadero High School robotics team is holding a free e-waste recycling event later this month.

On May 24, California residents and businesses can bring their old, unwanted televisions, cameras, cell phones, computers and video game consoles to Atascadero High School.

Also welcome are fax machines, printers, MP3 players, DVD players and VCRs, as well as toner cartridges and tapes.

Household batteries, appliances and lighting will not be accepted.

The recycling drive takes place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 24 at the high school’s lower parking lot at Atascadero Avenue and West Mall. The event, which is being orchestrated by e-waste recycler NeuWaste, benefits the Greybots.
