A woman trying to park in front of a San Luis Obispo restaurant Thursday accidentally accelerated and crashed into the building's front window, injuring a woman sitting inside.

The driver of the SUV, a 33-year-old San Luis Obispo resident, was trying to park in front of Nucci's Pizza at 785 Foothill Blvd. at 3:47 p.m., according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department. As she drove into the parking spot, her foot got caught between the pedals, causing her to press on the gas pedal. Her vehicle then jumped the cement parking barrier and crashed into the restaurant.

A 60-year-old Los Osos woman sitting inside was knocked to the ground and received minor injuries from the window's shattered glass, according to police. She was treated by medics at the scene.

The driver was not injured and did not show any signs of impairment, so she was released.
