The Cambria Little League Reds Little League team got a great pitching performance from Chase Volz on Saturday, May 10, and they shut out the Los Osos White, 7-0. Volz hurled four perfect innings, striking out 10 of the 12 Los Osos batters he faced.

After Volz, Reds pitcher David May gave up just one hit over three innings to wrap up the game. Edgar Nunez had two hits in three at bats and Emmany Plasencia scored two runs and played solid shortstop for the Reds.

On Tuesday May 13, the Reds played the Brewers in Morro Bay and defeated the Brewers 17-5 for their third straight win.

Meanwhile the Cambria Cardinals defeated the Morro Bay Padres on Wednesday, May 7, 20-5, thanks to a combined no-hitter by four Cardinal pitchers (Morgan Walker, Anhase Martin, Aidan Kasper and Robert Saunders). Kasper also contributed a double and a grand slam home run, driving in six runs.

On Saturday, May 10, the Cardinals scored five runs in the seventh inning to defeat the Morro Bay Dodgers, 8-6. Jamar Jeffries contributed two hits including a triple with the bases full.
