The Paso Robles Paderewski Festival is accepting applications for its eighth annual Youth Piano Competition.

Pianists ages 10 to 18 may apply to audition before a panel of three judges, headed by pianist and composer Marek Zebrowski, who is the Paderewski Festival’s artistic director.

Audition participants will all receive certificates; in addition, the best performers will receive prizes ranging from $200 to $500; winners will be invited to perform during the 2014 Paderewski Festival, and selected winners may apply to travel to Poland for the festival’s 2015 Youth Exchange Program.

Winners will also perform at the 2014 Youth Competition Winners’ Recital on Nov. 8.

Applicants must currently study with an established piano teacher and reside in San Luis Obispo, Monterey or Santa Barbara counties. Professional pianists may not apply.

The application deadline is Oct. 3.

Auditions will take place Oct. 25.
