An unidentified male smashed through the rear window of a car parked in a 7-Eleven parking lot in Grover Beach at approximately 7:37 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a Grover Beach Police Department press release, the thief stole a purse and briefcase from the back seat while the female victim was inside the store at 390 W. Grand Ave.

The thief was driving a four-door silver sedan with no hubcaps and an unknown license plate number, according to police.

The 7-Eleven clerk said the man had fresh bloody knuckles. The press release said the bloody knuckles could be from a similar vehicle burglary that occurred in Pismo Beach prior to the Grover Beach burglary.
