A new superintendent for Coast Unified School District could be introduced at a meeting Thursday, May 15, according to Del Clegg, president of the Board of Trustees.

He said Monday, May 5, that a marathon two-day interviewing session May 2 and 3 winnowed the final-cut list of five (two women and three men) down to a single candidate.

If negotiations go as expected, Clegg said, the board will reveal their selection at the May 15 meeting that starts at 7 p.m.

Clegg said he hopes the new superintendent would be able to attend the meeting in the district headquarters board room in the Old Grammar School at 1350 Main St.
