Netters play well, but lose to Dunn

Special to The CambrianMay 8, 2014

The Coast Union Bronco tennis team lost at Dunn School on Friday, May 2, but there were some wins that brought a smile to coach Shannon Jackson’s face.

The doubles team of Alexis Mireles and Asher Armstrong won a set, 6-0; the doubles team of Lalo Garcia and Max Rodriguez won a set, 6-1, and the doubles team of Luis Fernandez and Miguel Garcia also won a set, 6-4.

There were no singles winners for Coast Union, albeit Jackson said they had “great rallies and really fought hard,” putting them in a position to possibly make CIF in 2015, Jackson added.
