Push poll trickery

Paso RoblesMay 7, 2014

Beware of push polls! What is a push poll? That’s when someone calls you up and pretends to want to know what you think, but actually wants to make you think like them. The other day someone called me and asked a lot of questions, then told me a bunch of stuff which I believe is not correct, and then asked me my opinion “based on what you know,” meaning what she just told me!

Then the questions got worse, based upon all sorts of things that are not likely to be true. They wanted me to oppose the state cap-and-trade law, so I guess it was commissioned by polluters. The caller, of course, was only someone hired to read a script; it wasn’t her fault.
