SLO County YMCA appoints new board of directors

The San Luis Obispo County YMCA recently appointed its 2014-15 board of directors and installed Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center spokesperson Ron Yukelson as board president.

Yukelson is associate administrator and director of business development at Sierra Vista and has more than 35 years of volunteer service with the Y, according to a news release.

New directors are Brandon Downing, KSBY director of marketing and promotions; Mary Gardner, a public relations consultant; and Katie Lichtig, San Luis Obispo city manager.

Continuing directors include Jim Battersby of Battersby & Associates; Marie Brinkmeyer, executive director of Senior Volunteer Services; John Calandro, Laguna Middle School principal; Lynne Callahan, John W. Callahan Heart Safe Project founder; Chuck Davison, Pure Navigation Consulting president; Daniel Farnum, senior director of facilities management at Dignity Health/French Hospital; entrepreneur Keith Godfrey; Lisa Gonzalez, Controller on Call owner; Robbie Kraemer, a San Luis Obispo High School student; Geri LaChance, SESLOC Federal Credit Union chief executive officer; Ryan Maxwell, business development officer for American Perspective Bank; Charlotte Ornellas, Absolute Auto Tech owner; Missy Reitner-Cameron, (iii) Design creative director and principal; Laura Slaughter, YMCA facility member representative; Richard Smith, FLUID chief executive officer; Harry Sharp, retired Cal Poly professor and dean of College of Liberal Arts; Vaughn Taus, attorney; Tara Teitge, YMCA facility member representative; Ed Waage, Pismo Beach City Council member; and Patricia Wilmore, government affairs consultant.
