Thanks for track meet

Arroyo Grande High School head track coachMay 5, 2014

I would like to publicly express my sincere gratitude to all who helped make the 40th annual Elk’s SLO County Track Meet at Cuesta College on April 5 possible. First, a big thanks to Cuesta College track and field Coach Brian Locher and Athletic Director Bob Mariucci for allowing us to use their facility.

Over the past seven years, being able to have the meet at Cuesta’s track has enabled county athletes to set 30 new meet records. On April 5, 10 more were set on this fantastic track.

Second, I would like to thank the Oceano Elks Lodge 2504 for sponsoring the meet, providing the trophies and medals and working as officials at various field events. I am so grateful for their continuing support over the past 33 years.

Third, I want to thank Coach Jan Johnson for his at tendance and expertise in creating the safest possible conditions for the pole vault while injecting his infectious sense of humor. Finally, I want to thank the Arroyo Grande track parents for their tremendous efforts and express my appreciation to all the AGHS staff members who did a fantastic job running the meet.
