Cal Poly graduate students in city and regional planning will present their work on vision plans for the city of Morro Bay at the city Planning Commission next week.

The meeting will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Building at 209 Surf St.

The students conducted a site analysis of the north Atascadero Road and Embarcadero area to develop an outlook for rezoning.

Their work, under the direction of professors Hemalata C. Dandekar and Vicente del Rio included coordination with the city Planning Commission.

The student teams will present preliminary findings and ideas and take public input at the presentation.

The conceptual plan will include the area bounded by Atascadero Road, Morro Bay High School, the ocean and Highway 1.
