On Friday, the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce will host a question-and-answer session for all five candidates running for SLO County supervisor.
The forum will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. at King Davids Masonic Lodge, 859 Marsh St., San Luis Obispo. Lunch will be served and seating is limited. Anyone planning to attend should register beforehand by calling 781-2777 or by going to www.slochamber.org. Cost is $21 for chamber members and $25 for nonmembers.
Participating in the forum will be District 2 incumbent Bruce Gibson and challenger, Muril Clift, a Cambria Community Services District director.
The three candidates running for the District 4 seat will also participate. They are appointed incumbent Caren Ray, Arroyo Grande real estate broker Mike Byrd and Nipomo businesswoman Lynn Compton.
The candidates will answer questions about issues facing the county and San Luis Obispo including water shortages and development near the San Luis Obispo airport.
