Developer Gary Grossman has been fined $400 by the California Fair Political Practices Commission for failing to report campaign finance contributions in a timely manner.

According to the order filed by the commission, during 2013 Grossman made more than $14,000 in campaign contributions to San Luis Obispo County Supervisors Adam Hill and Caren Ray, with the bulk going to Ray, that were not reported by the Jan. 31, 2014, due date.

Grossman, a Pismo Beach resident, is president of Coastal Community Builders, which plans to develop a 131-acre housing and retail development project on the Dalidio Ranch at the southern gateway to San Luis Obispo.
