Cambria Community Services District directors will hold a special meeting today to improve the district’s changes of winning grants to help pay for an emergency water supply project.

They’re expected to approve continuing participation in the county Integrated Regional Water Management Program. Participation in such area planning groups can be essential to getting certain statewide grants, such as those from propositions 50 and 84.

The district has participated since 2012, but the county updated the agreement to include revised state guidelines, so the district board must approve an updated memorandum of understanding.

The meeting starts at 3 p.m. at the district office, 1316 Tamson Drive, Cambria.
