Earth Day festival set for Sunday in SLO

Celebrate Mother Earth at the 24th annual free Earth Day Fair & Music Festival at El Chorro Regional Park and SLO Botanical Garden on Sunday. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event includes a Kids’ Korner, Eco Marketplace, Health and Well-being Center, Green Car Show, and Dairy Creek Zero Waste Park tour. Entertainment on two stages will include Burning James and the Funky Flames, the Kristen Black Electric Band, Mystery Bros., Mr. Eco and the Green Earth Magic Show.

Earth Day Alliance Inc. and San Luis Obispo County Parks are hosting the event.

Also in celebration of Earth Day, SLO County Transit Authority and South County Transit will offer free bus rides throughout the county on Sunday. RTA will provide free shuttles between the Earth Day Fair and the Cuesta College parking lot. The shuttles will run from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
