Second inning hurts Cuesta baseball

The Cuesta College baseball team gave up 10 runs on five walks and four errors in the second inning en route to a 14-7 road loss to Oxnard on Thursday.
The Cougars took a 2-1 lead in the top of the second, as Nick Rutckyj scored on an error and David Belt scored on an RBI single from Josh Ramirez, but the lead was shortlived.
Cuesta (11-25, 6-15 Western State Conference) scored three in the eighth, when Miles Franklin drew a bases-loaded walk, and Joe Miller hit a two-run single.
