The man-made-global-warming alarmists have gone over the top in the April 2 edition of The Tribune. It should be pointed out that all of these dire predictions are based on computer models that are only as good as the information programmed into them, and if the programmer has a bias, he or she can slant the results to reflect that bias.
The Washington Post, back on Nov. 2, 1922, printed an Associated Press article having to do with global warming that stated Capt. Martin Ingebrigtsen from Norway noted in 1918 that the Arctic has steadily gotten warmer from 1868 to 1917.
There is a real science that is proven to be true, and that is the science of dendrochronology, which is the study of annular tree rings taken from the cores of redwoods and bristlecone pines thousands of years old which researchers have found to tell the climate story even before the time that Jesus walked upon the earth. And what has that story told? The earth has always had periods of warming and cooling.
