Keep current plant

Morro BayApril 15, 2014

I don’t understand the rush to incur more debt for a sewage treatment plant that is unwarranted.

Sure, Morro Bay is one of a very few plants allowed by permit to pump secondary-treated effluent into the ocean, but did you know one of the other cities permitted to do the same is San Diego?

I would be more receptive to a need for change if I saw the Coastal Commission voiding San Diego’s permit, but I do not see that happening soon. Morro Bay is better served continuing to maintain its current facility until better options are available.
