Motorists on Highway 1 can expect to encounter delays through May due to road-repair work north of the Piedras Blancas Light Station, about 13 miles north of Cambria.

In a $500,000 Caltrans project, Winsor Construction of Cambria is repairing part of the highway and adding rock-slope protection. Work is expected to be complete in May.

There will be one-way reversing traffic control Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays, with delays not expected to exceed 20 minutes, according to Caltrans.
