Teens arrested in string of vehicle break-ins around Los Osos

Following an arrest of two teenagers Monday, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to return property to anyone who reported a car break-in in Los Osos during the last week.

A 16-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested Monday following a series of vehicle burglaries throughout Los Osos. According to the Sheriff’s Office, about $2,000 worth of property — two dozen items, including cameras, credit cards and backpacks — was recovered during the arrest of the two teens.

Because of the ages of the suspects, the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing their names or the location where the property was recovered.

The two were arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possession of stolen property, both felonies.

Anybody who reported a car burglary is asked to come to the Coast Station at 2099 10th St. in Los Osos to reclaim their property.
