The San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors celebrated Paula O'Ferrell’s more than 10 years of service.

Larry Miller, chairman of Sherwood Dog Park and vice president of Parks4Pups, wanted to share the news that Paula O’Ferrell received a tribute for her work with Parks4Pups and her work helping establish three dog parks in the North County:

“Vineyard Dog Park celebrated its fifth anniversary on March 8. Paula O’Farrell, president of Parks4Pups, opened the Spring Fling, greeting everyone, and was ready to announce the beginning of the Fetch Competition. Dee King, a Vineyard board member, requested the microphone and praised Paula and her efforts over 10 years that resulted in the construction of the three North County dog parks — Heilmann in Atascadero, Vineyard in Templeton , and Sherwood in Paso Robles. This tribute was a coordinated effort of boards from each of the dog parks without Paula’s knowledge. Dee then passed the microphone to Vicki Shelby, an assistant to county Supervisor Frank Mecham, who presented a certificate to Paula on behalf of the San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors thanking her and acknowledging her contributions to our community. Plaques in tribute to Paula will be placed at each dog park.”
