Preserve together

AtascaderoApril 3, 2014

Most of the public in our county has no idea we are in a drought. If we did simple things like turn off the water when we are brushing our teeth or not waiting until the water gets warm, that would save a reasonable amount of water.

Also, homeowners can turn off their sprinkler systems — because it has been raining, there is no need to water the lawn. Or when the sprinklers are on, make sure they aren’t watering the sidewalks, the house or street.

The radio stations should focus on getting the message around and letting people know of the few tricks that can help reduce our water use. We need to come together as a community and help preserve water.
