Climate reports

San Luis ObispoApril 2, 2014

The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued another in its series of reports on climate change Sunday. I hope you have plans to cover it in The Tribune, as it sounds a warning about the devastating effects of human-caused climate change that is already creating, among other effects, global food shortages, warming of our oceans and melting sea ice.

The report not only points out many of the costly effects of climate change, but offers some solutions. This information is critical to our communities, political leaders, businesses, food producers, etc., as we plan for the future.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
