Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Avalanche leading scorer Matt Duchene is expected to miss about four weeks with a knee injury.

Duchene was hurt early in the first period of Saturday's game against San Jose after colliding with teammate Jamie McGinn. He underwent an MRI exam on Sunday morning.

The injury will keep Duchene out for the remainder of the regular season and most likely the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Duchene has 23 goals and team bests of 47 assists and 70 points in 71 games this season.
