Citizen approval

Pismo BeachMarch 31, 2014

We are currently going door-to-door with an important petition to put an initiative on the November ballot.

For more information, please go to http://savepricecanyon.com . If you are a registered Pismo voter and we haven’t come to your door, email us at savepricecanyon@gmail.com, notify us on Facebook or call command central at 773-4035; we will come to your home so you may sign our petition to put the initiative on the November ballot.

This initiative will put the approval of massive development in the Price Canyon area into the hands of the citizens. The Southern California developer has been repeatedly sending out deceitful push calls and surveys to gain support.

Thank goodness people are paying attention. The common theme as we go door-to-door is the valid concern over water. We just found out that we won’t we receive our state-allocated water. If we pump our full allocation of groundwater, we risk ruining the ground basin with salt-water intrusion. One must wonder why the city keeps approving projects during such an uncertain time.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
