Motorhome being towed hits fire hydrant

A motor home connected to a tow truck dislodged while traveling in the 200 block of Tank Farm Road on Sunday, hitting a fire hydrant and causing water to spout into the street.

San Luis Obispo police and fire departments arrived on the scene shortly after 1 p.m., and a city worker fixed the spouting water within a half hour.

It is unclear why the motor home disconnected from the tow truck, police say, but there were no injuries reported at the scene.
