Support success

Arroyo GrandeMarch 28, 2014

The Five Cities Fire Authority has proven that small governments can realize efficiencies with consolidation. Sharing a single fire chief, administrative staff and dispatch center is a true success story.

When the decision was made to form the Fire Authority, the city councils and district board asked that future funding requirements for vehicle and equipment replacement not be dependent on the existing general funds for Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Oceano. The benefit assessment is accomplishing what was asked of the Fire Authority. Calls for emergency service are increasing, and for a rather small cost, the community has been asked to support this evolving success story. Please vote yes on the Five Cities Fire Authority benefit assessment.
