Rotten in Paso

Paso RoblesMarch 26, 2014

My husband and I bend over backward to conserve water. And now I read in your excellent newspaper that Paso Robles is having a “hotel development boom” making Paso a destination, with a photo showing a large hotel being built and more houses and hotels to come. I am frustrated beyond measure about this.

Why should residents of Paso be so concerned with water usage and face fines if not severely restricted, when the city is building new hotels and homes that will drain so much water it will be a nightmare.

The city can’t tell current residents to be careful with water usage, and then on the other hand approve multiple hotels and homes to be built.

As Hamlet said, “Something’s rotten in the State of Denmark.” I say “something’s rotten in the city of Paso Robles.”
