The Cal Poly men's basketball team's unlikely run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament has brought with it a level of national curiosity about the Mustangs. And, along with the crush of media attention, an undefeated opponent.

Cal Poly (14-19) will attempt to become the first No. 16 seed in March Madness history to topple a No. 1 seed in the round of 64 when the Mustangs take on No. 1 seed Wichita State (34-0) in a Midwest Regional second-round game at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The game, which is set to tip off at 4:10 p.m. today, will be televised live on CBS. The winner of the game will advance to meet Kentucky or Kansas State on Sunday.

The Mustangs are coming off a 3-0 Big West tourney run to the conference title last weekend, followed by an 81-69 victory over Texas Southern in the NCAA tourney's first round Wednesday in Dayton, Ohio.
