Driver hospitalized after crash in Arroyo Grande

The driver of this Volkswagen Beetle was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Grand Avenue in Arroyo Grande.

A two-vehicle crash in Arroyo Grande sent one person to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

According to the Five Cities Fire Authority, at about 1:30 p.m., a white Volkswagen Beetle collided with another vehicle on westbound Grand Avenue just east of the Brisco Road intersection.

The Volkswagen sustained the most damage and its sole occupant — who has only been identified as a female driver—was treated at the scene and taken to Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. Her condition was not immediately known Thursday afternoon.

Arroyo Grande police are on the scene and investigating the crash.
