Friends of the Garden will have a work day at Lillian Larsen School Community Garden on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.

Ag teacher Christina Wilkinson oversees the extensive garden where students learn to grow and harvest their own food. Along with learning to garden, the children learn to appreciate and enjoy fresh, healthful eating.

Friends of the Garden was formed to give the extra help needed to keep things growing, especially in the summer when school is out. Garden enthusiasts are welcome to bring gloves and tools and play in the dirt.

For more information, call Wilkinson at 467-3216, ext. 124.
