Ride and leave

Grover BeachMarch 18, 2014

Regarding the opposition by the Friends of Oceano Dunes to the building of the Grover Beach Lodge and Conference Center, do the equestrian riders currently taking advantage of the free parking even live in Grover Beach? This is a project the city hopes will draw tourists and raise revenue that could be used for services such as police, fire, road improvements, etc. How much is made from providing free parking to the residents of neighboring communities who ride their horses and then leave?

Also, calling yourself Friends of Oceano Dunes when one of your main priorities is to keep it accessible to off-road vehicles is the same as if the 1939 German Army had called itself Friends of Poland.
