Correction: An earlier version of this story gave the wrong phone number for the CSD. It is 528-9370.

The Los Osos Community Services District has sent out some inaccurate water bills due to the rollout of its new billing software program this year, the district said.

Some of the CSD’s roughly 2,500 customers have seen higher water bills over the past couple of months and some haven’t been charged enough. The district’s staff is working through the glitches to ensure accuracy of billing on a 60-day cycle, officials say.

Anyone with a question is encouraged to contact the CSD at 528-9370.

The district has a utility compliance technician, Margaret Falkner, who is assigned to verify claims of inaccuracies and correct any problems. Billing questions will be handled on a case-by-case basis, according to the district.
