The California Mid-State Fair is seeking entries for the fifth annual Central Coast Olive Oil Competition.

The competition, which is open to producers across California, will feature more than 150 extra virgin olive oils, including flavored and organic varieties, according to a fair news release.

A panel of judges will evaluate the entries on aroma, taste and intensity.

Producers must register by April 4, while entries must be received between April 7 and 18 at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave. in Paso Robles.

Medal-winning oils will be exhibited at the event center during the fair, which runs July 16 through 27. For more information, visit http://www.midstatefair.com.
