Prep Roundup: Arroyo Grande tops Paso Robles in golf

Jordan MacMurphey shot a match-best 80 to lead the Eagles past the Bearcats, 427-448, Monday at par-72 Hunter Ranch.

Raleigh Deering finished second for Arroyo Grande (2-1, 1-0 PAC 7) with a score of 84.

Greg Potruch shot an 85, and Logan Elliot shot an 89 for Paso Robles.

Atascadero softball team cruises past Morro Bay

McKenzi Etchison and Leanne White both hit a double and a solo home run as the Greyhounds beat the Pirates, 12-5, in a nonleague softball game.

Ally Reagan went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI, and Kaala Wood pitched 42⁄3 innings to earn the win for Atascadero (5-1).

Madelynn Martinz hit a solo home run and an RBI double for the Pirates (0-4).

Saints top Royals in boys golf

Santa Maria High’s boys golf team topped visiting Mission Prep, 248-275, at par-35 Marshalia Ranch.

Stephen Orradre led Mission Prep (0-2) with a round of 51, followed by teammates Robert Ball (53), Gavin Storrs (58), Elizabeth Talley (60) and Kendahl Hix (63).
