Looking for spare bicycle parts, special tools or expert advice?

The SLO Bike Kitchen is expanding its open hours to give local cyclists more time to repair and maintain their rides, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition.

Starting Friday, community members can visit the Bike Kitchen between noon to 5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Visits to the facility, located in Suite 105 at 860 Pacific St. in San Luis Obispo, cost $5 to $10; Bike Coalition members receive four free visits.

More than 6,000 people have used the Bike Kitchen since it opened in 2010, the nonprofit organization said.
