Ballot-box revolution

San Luis ObispoFebruary 20, 2014

At the birth of our nation, President John Adams said, “There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” He also suggested a “constitutional revolution” might be needed every 20 years to avoid such a fate.

Now fast-forward to our present president, our new King George and state elitist, announcing triumphantly that he intends to rule by executive order. That scares the hell out of me, and I hope it scares the hell out of you, too. Might just be the last fatal sip of hemlock.

Fortunately, we still have the chance for our own constitutional revolution, at the ballot box over the next few years. Please vote wisely and please, for our nation and children’s sake, vote for those who will protect our constitution and our democratic principles.
