Women's swimming relay teams finish in top 8 for Cal Poly

The Cal Poly women’s swimming team had two relay teams finish in the top eight Wednesday as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships began in Monterey Park. 

The Mustangs finished seventh and earned 24 points in the 200-yard medley.

Allison de Peralta, Gabby Lindblad, Dani Orlandi and Kelsey Engel finished in 1 minute, 44 seconds. 

Lindblad raced again, in the 800-yard freestyle relay, with Alisha Bender, Rachel Cleak and Jill Jones. The team came in eighth and gained 22 more points. 

The finals will continue through Saturday night, and diving starts today at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena.
