Forums address Los Osos sewer issues

nwilson@thetribunenews.comFebruary 18, 2014

Construction of the Los Osos sewage treatment plant will begin in March, and a public workshop on Feb. 26 will be held to discuss the upcoming work and other project details, according to county officials.

Afternoon and evening workshops will be held at Los Osos Middle School at 1555 El Moro Ave. The first session will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m., and the second will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The forums will include information about the project status, schedule, costs, financial assistance options and what residents can expect when connecting their lateral lines to the sewer system.

The construction contract for the plant was awarded in January to Auburn Constructors for $48.1 million.
