More viewpoints

San Luis ObispoFebruary 17, 2014

While I have enjoyed and been informed by your Pro/Con viewpoints written by Zaf Iqbal and John Peschong, I question whether having such viewpoints represented solely by a Democrat and Republican is still valid. Most of San Luis Obispo County’s voters are divided 39 percent Republican, 33 percent Democrat and 21 percent no party preference.

The old Republican/ Democrat, conservative/ liberal dichotomy is probably not representative of the depth of local opinions on the issues that affect us. I urge you to find equally articulate people to represent moderate or non-affiliated viewpoints, as well as Libertarian, Green, or other positions when it would stimulate discussion.
