Thanks in Morro Bay

Morro BayFebruary 16, 2014

The Morro Bay Commercial Fishermen’s Organization would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Morro Bay 50th Anniversary Committee and the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce for honoring and recognizing the fishing industry’s part in the history of Morro Bay as well as families, citizens and businesses of Morro Bay.

Cara Crye did a tremendous job emceeing the event and taking us through the 50 years. This celebration was the work of many of our talented friends and neighbors, far too many to name, from the slideshow of pictures that lasted throughout the event, the wonderful food that was served, the many gifts supplied by local businesses for the auction, the beautiful decorations, all of this, not to mention the work of bringing it all together in one room at the community center. We are thrilled that proceeds from the Morro Bay’s 50th Landmark and Legacy kickoff dinner will go toward Central Coast Women for Fisheries statue of “Fishermen’s Family Sculpture,” which will be coming to our harbor this year. It certainly makes us happy to be apart of this beautiful place by the sea, Morro Bay.
