Paso Robles wins PAC 7 wrestling tournament

Paso Robles High won the PAC 7 wrestling tournament Saturday at Righetti as all 13 Bearcats qualified for CIF-Southern Section individual competition.

Paso Robles’ Trevor Torres (126 pounds) won Outstanding Lower Weight Wrestler of the tournament. Kameron Morones (120) and Jeremey Woodruff (145) also finished first. 

Kobe Feeley (115), Zach Holmes (152), Zach Wilson (160), Caleb Rivera (190) and Jimmy Pacheco (195) all finished second for Paso Robles.

Atascadero came in second as a team, led by six first-place finishers — Cruz Mendoza (106), Nick Ducasse (152), Ryan Lombardi (160), Tannen Soojain (170), C.J. Cooper (182) and Karson Block (195).

The Greyhounds’ other postseason qualifiers were Riley Mete (120) in fourth place, and Jacob Terry (132), Kyler Torres (145) and Jordan Council (220) in second place.

San Luis Obispo finished fifth as Nick Magnes (113), Erik Kardel (126), Max Veneris (138) and Chris McChesney (195) qualified.

Arroyo Grande finished sixth as Evan Johnston (138) led the Eagles by finishing second. Skelton Gabriel (152), Griffen Horton (160) and Oscar Perdomo (220) qualified.
